MY US NAP WON AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND IS CHASING A HAT-TRICK ON SATURDAY!

Race 5 Saratoga 8.16 Nest (5/6)

Smart filly who won 4 of her first 5 starts before conceding first run when second to Secret Oath in the Kentucky Oaks two starts back; stumbled at the start latest so did well to get as close as she did; more to come.

I’m very much with NEST to bounce back and reverse that Kentucky Oaks form with Secret Oath. The latter blew out in the Preakness and has a bit to prove off the back of that. The selection in comparison ran a big race in defeat when second to Mo Donegal in the Belmont Stakes given she stumbled at the start. She is clearly very talented and with further progress to come I think she can get back to winning ways. Secret Oath might still be the danger given her progressive form prior to last time. Butterbean impressed in the Iowa Oaks last time and is on a four-timer now but this is a big enough step up. Society is a perfect 3-3 but is yet to be truly tested and so this could expose her flaws.

Race 11 Gulfstream Park 10.52 Vandalia (1/1)

Promising filly who won head in chest here last time, really pouring it on late; can improve again on that and this doesn’t look any tougher so obvious chance she can go and follow up here; the one to beat.

Great chance for VANDALIA to follow up that romp here last time. She left previous form behind to leave rivals standing on that occasion and can keep improving given how lightly raced she is. This looks winnable and it is no tougher than that last contest she was so impressive in. I think she’ll be odds-on come post time. Dontmesswithtess was a few places behind the selection last time so has ground to make up. Pardon My Heart finished in front of the latter when second on penultimate start so might be worth a saver to hit the frame but definitely needs more to trouble the selection. Raison The Glass was third to the selection last time but also deserves another look at a fairly big price.
