MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 2 AT KALGOORLIE ON SUNDAY MORNING!

Race 2 Kalgoorlie 5.55 Prawns Eleven (11/10)

Promising colt who was well found in the betting when third on debut over slightly further here at the start of the month; sure to know more now and looks well placed to make the breakthrough here.

I’m expecting PRAWNS ELEVEN to be really hard to beat at Kalgoorlie on Sunday morning. This colt went close on debut having been well backed and with that experience under his belt he can go a couple better here. This looks winnable and I think he brings the most potential to the table. Mrs Kangaroo is yet to show a great deal but I guess has to be respected on that third at Belmont. She was poor at Ascot though finishing nearer last than first so has a bit to prove off the back of that. Bin Shalaa is 0/13 now and has enough to find too. The fact she is third in the betting here tells you just how weak this race is. Lathams Wish best of the rest but also needs to improve a fair bit to get involved.

Race 7 Launceston 6.14 Julius (11/8)

Good looking chestnut who is building a nice profile now with 6 wins from just 11 starts; no problem landing the hat-trick at Devonport last time and with more to come back up in trip slightly should be hard to beat.

The betting has this as a two-horse race between JULIUS and Music Addition but it’s the former I’m really strong on here. He has 6 wins from 11 starts and completed the hat-trick at Devonport last time winning impressively in the end. He is open to further improvement and I don’t think they’ll be any excuses here. Music Addition is the obvious favourite given he arrives chasing a hat-trick but he is a lot more exposed than the selection being a 7yo now. I’m siding with the younger legs! Gee Gee Secondover has been thereabouts in recent starts but might be vulnerable in the closing stages so is passed over. Jaja Chaboogie might be a spot of value to rattle the frame late on.
