NAP – My best tip of the day
Lingfield 6.40 Zenga (9/4)
Scopey filly who improved again to win impressively at Wolverhampton last month, always travelling well; up to a mile and a quarter for the first time now handicapping and with more to come can go and follow up.
It’s been a tough start to August for the NAP but the racing in general has been quite tricky lately so I’m not too down in the dumps just yet. I really like the chances of ZENGA at Lingfield on Thursday. This Lope De Vega filly took another step forward to open her account at Wolverhampton last month. I was impressed with how she moved through that race and up the straight there was only one winner. Obviously this demands more now handicapping off a mark of 85 but she has plenty of potential and should step forward again here. Ray Dawson keeps the ride and I think she could turn out to be well treated. Royal Aviation will likely run his race again and Postmark might also hit the frame.

Ffos Las 4.40 Typewritten (3/1)
Improving filly who looked unlucky narrowly denied at Chepstow and confirmed that promise to win at Southwell last month, clocking a career best in the process; 5lb higher here but has obvious claims again.
I thought TYPEWRITTEN won with a bit to spare at Southwell last time so while she’ll likely need to progress again to defy a 5lb rise I’m confident she will. This is definitely winnable and I’m keen to keep her on side for now. Kingscote is in the saddle again and she has plenty going for her. Blazer Two has actually been installed as favourite for this but strictly on the clock he has a bit to find with the selection. He clocked a career best as well winning at Leicester and he should run well so still looks the danger. Tribuna Uffizi ran well when second at Yarmouth and should appreciate going back up in trip so is unlikely to be all that far away either. The rest all look to have enough to prove at present.
