Promising filly who improved again to get her head in front at Echuca last month, going clear impressively; form stacks up in the context of this race and if she goes on again she should have too much for these.
My Australian NAP won again overnight so I’m chasing a HAT-TRICK as we head into a new week. Not the best racing but WOK STAR does look a standout at Bairnsdale. She got her head in front at Echuca last time having been knocking on the door and that was impressive going clear by 8 lengths. She has more to offer after just a handful of starts and I’m convinced she is the one to beat in this field. Side Bet is a decent yardstick and he hasn’t been running badly in defeat so looks the most obvious danger to the favourite. Oxley Jack shaped better when third at Moe last month and is another one to note but I think he will need more to spring an upset in this. Bucks exposed but best of the rest.

Likeable type who has been knocking on the door in recent starts and definitely has the ability to take out a race like this; only had a handful of starts so further improvement looks a near certainty; big shout.
With the promise of more to come CAPTAIN UNDERPANTZ looks to have found a good opportunity here. He was only beaten narrowly when third at Lismore last time and if stepping forward again he really is the most likely winner in this field. He arguably ran his best race at this track on penultimate start and so there is lots to like back at this venue. Consensio is 0/15 but experience could count for a fair bit in this. I still think he’ll be vulnerable to an improver and the selection obviously fits the bill. Victory Beans has a similar profile to the favourite but did run a bit flat at Lismore last time and lacks the potential of the selection on the overall balance of his form so far.
