MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 8 AT KILMORE ON SUNDAY!

Race 8 Kilmore 6.35 Vermentino (best price 10/11)

Promising type who made a good impression winning easily on debut at Hamilton on sole start over a year ago; can improve on that and looks to have found a good opportunity to make a winning return here.

This race is cutting up all the time so hopefully we still get a price about VERMENTINO as I can see him going off short for this. We have only seen him run once but he was impressive and he should make a winning return here. He will go forward and looks to have a great chance to make it 2-2. Pocket Change is a fair yardstick and has already won twice so looks the danger. He did disappoint at Warrnambool last time though so will need to bounce back to land a serious blow at the business end. Especial Courage is a good looking type and she might run well but she doesn’t find winning easy. Did shape well when second at Benalla last time though so definitely worth noting.

Race 7 Belmont 8.55 Karalee Rocks (best price 11/8)

Likeable mare who has won 2 from 3 so far and looks good winning impressively at Ascot on reappearance; more to come for sure and looks well placed to follow up; will get a good pace to run down.

Hammarmill should run well but it is difficult to look past KARALEE ROCKS here as she was an impressive winner on return at Ascot last time. She can keep progressing and looks the most likely winner. Hopefully she gets a good pace to run down as she was seen to good effect last time and clearly possesses a decent turn of foot. Hammarmill is also a nice type and won at Ascot last time so looks the danger. Rebelzone has won 3 from 9 and ran well when last seen back in the summer when second here so also enters calculations but will likely strip fitter from the outing. Cross Statement could go well for a long way but this has strength in depth so still needs more to get involved you’d think.
