AUSTRALIAN NAP LANDED OVERNIGHT! Racing Down Under to start a new week on Monday from Gatton, Kempsey and Wagga. Overnight Double pays 9/2!
NAP – Best tip overnight
MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 5 AT WAGGA ON MONDAY!
Race 5 Wagga 5.20 Deepmind (best price 11/8)
Promising type who built on an encouraging debut to win over track and trip on penultimate start; looked to need the run when second on return and should be able to go one better now with fitness on side.
There should be more to come from DEEPMIND so I think he is well placed to make it 2 wins from 4 starts. He should tighten up from that reappearance run and is expected to be too good for this field. I think he’ll prove a cut above this grade in time so it will be disappointing if he can’t win this. Greek Tycoon bounced back from a no show at Albury to win last time and might be the danger as the betting is suggesting. Our Baez had looked quite promising initially but has gone off the boil somewhat in recent starts so needs to bounce back to win this. Geminids won twice at Canberra but was nearer last than first last month so needs to better that to get involved. Kinross won last time but this tougher.

Race 7 Gatton 6.10 Kalpana (best price 6/4)
Tough mare who has been knocking on the door in recent starts and wasn’t beaten far in a better race than this last time; won’t need to find much further improvement to get herself back in the winners enclosure.
Hard to look past KALPANA on her recent form. She finished runner-up at both Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast before running well in defeat once more when fourth at Doomben. She goes up in trip further and that should help so no surprise to see her favourite for this. Magic Mikey has a similar profile and is the most likely danger as the market is suggesting. Memoire Parfait looked good earlier in the season but has disappointed recently so hard to see him springing a surprise here. Force Me has 3 wins to her name and looked good at Kilcoy but this has more strength in depth so I think she might grab a place but hard to see her springing an upset. Damreel probably best of the rest.
