Unbeaten on the AW having won impressively at Kempton back in September to make it 3-3 at Lingfield, Chelmsford and Kempton; excuses at Newmarket on final start; should resume her progress now.
Things didn’t go to plan for MANAAFITH back on turf at Newmarket when last seen but she had previously won all 3 starts on the AW and was particularly impressive over this trip at Kempton back in September. She still has potential off her current mark and it would be no surprise to see her resume her progress now having been given time after that latest disappointment. Shining Al Danah opened her account at Yarmouth and followed up at Newcastle making all the running. She weakened close home at Wolverhampton last month though and has a bit to prove off the back of that. Jilly Cooper might end up emerging as a bigger threat as she goes particularly well over this C&D.

Wolverhampton 3.50 Cicely (best price 2/1)
3-time C&D winner who is back down to a mark she can fire off so no surprise to see her back in the winners enclosure; should be ridden quietly so will need luck coming through but is worth chancing.
Now with Kevin Philippart De Foy CICELY could get back to her best here. She is well handicapped on old form and goes particularly well over track and trip. This is obviously a weak enough race so it will be disappointing if she can’t pick them up late under Luke Morris. City Escape often runs well but her consistency has rather cost her more wins as she looks high enough in the handicap still. Billy Loughnane claims 7lb again but he has ridden her the last twice. Diamond Jill only missed narrowly when fifth last time but just had too much to do and might get a bit outpaced again here. Eagle Eyed Freddie has run well the last 3 times but usually finds a couple too good and that might happen again.
