Not the match Portugal would have been expecting after Morocco somehow found a way past Spain in the Last 16. They are one of few sides to remain unbeaten in Qatar and have really impressed. Portugal bulldozed their way past Switzerland and this should be a fascinating encounter. The winner will play either England or France in the Semi Finals.
Morocco are on a sensational run having won 3 of their 4 games at this World Cup conceding just 1 goal which was an own goal against Canada. Defensively they have been mega impressive and they will fancy their chances of springing another upset here. They have scored 4 goals in 4 games and to net 2 against Belgium was no easy task so they are definitely dangerous going forward as well.
Portugal have also been impressive so far in this tournament. Many expected Switzerland to give them a tough game but the exciting Goncalo Ramos managed to bag a hat-trick which may well keep Ronaldo out of the team again. They have players like Joao Felix seemingly hitting their peak and are not to be underestimated. I do feel they will find a way through this tie with Morocco but it might not be pretty which is why I’ve predicted 1-1.
