MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 7 AT GOULBURN ON FRIDAY MORNING!

Race 7 Goulburn 6.20 Semana (best price 11/10)

Good looking filly who created a big impression winning on debut after being well backed and then went down less than a length at Gosford last time; open to further improvement and can get back to winning ways.

Great chance for SEMANA to make it 2 wins from just 3 starts. She was convincing on debut and then only missed narrowly last time. She is improving all the time and looks to have found a decent opportunity to resume her progress. Pagato won at Bathurst and then was a good second at Muswellbrook so looks the danger on what is just his fifth start. Hide Your Heart is more exposed than the two mentioned above and she just isn’t in good enough form to be a danger here I don’t think. Star Mission won at Newcastle and then was third at the same venue last time. She could have a say but I still think might be vulnerable for win purposes. Dream Inherit best of the rest but needs to bounce back.

Race 8 Sunshine Coast 11.10 Set Me Up (best price 7/4)

Likeable mare who has improved to win her last two including at this track last month; penny seems to have dropped now and with further improvement to come she can complete a hat-trick of wins here.

It is hard to oppose SET ME UP at Sunshine Coast on Friday morning. This mare has won her last two now and looks to be progressing through the grades fast. She is thoroughly unexposed over this trip and can win again. Memoire Parfait is a decent yardstick already and he won at Gatton last time. This a little harder but going the right way so looks the obvious danger to the favourite. Tuki Twelve ran well when second here on penultimate start but failed to back that up at Doomben and that effort leaves something to be desired now. Eureka’s Victory won at Ipswich last time but again this has more strength in depth so unless he improves again he is likely just hitting a place at best here.
