Promising sort who showed bright speed on debut to take it up before finding one too strong over C&D last month; sure to build on that initial run and under similar tactics here might not come back to them.
No surprise to see SERGEANT PEP being well backed for this as he showed more than enough on debut to suggest he can win a race like this. The winner Al Dasim has won 3 times now and looks a nice colt so the form is pretty solid. Given the speed he showed there I think he’ll be sent off the front again and I’m not sure there is anything good enough in here to peg him back. Great State impressed winning over the minimum here last month but he gives plenty of weight away here and needs to prove he can reproduce it over 6f as well. That might leave Macho Mania as the main danger as he missed just a neck at Newcastle over this trip and is clearly improving as he gains experience.

Thurles 2.14 The Model Kingdom (best price 7/4)
Smart mare who has won 2 of her last 3 and was firmly in command at Punchestown last month; can jump better as well so no surprise to see an even bigger performance; definitely one to keep on side.
Liberty Dance is obviously promising but so too is THE MODEL KINGDOM and I’m keen to keep her on side despite the penalty. She won by over 4 lengths at Punchestown despite not jumping great. She clearly has a big engine and with a slicker round of jumping she is capable of an even bigger performance. The money seems fairly relentless for her so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see her go off favourite for this come post time. Liberty Dance won nicely here last time but there is also room for improvement in her jumping department and she lacks experience. Belle The Lioness ran well when second to Intranet at Punchestown and is entitled to improve but might be bumping into a couple again.
