NAP – My best tip of the day
Taunton 1.53 American Sniper (best price 2/1)
Quickly put that blip behind him on hurdles debut to win readily at Chepstow last month with the front pair clear; followed up in the style of a nice horse at Taunton; up in trip and more to come so hard to oppose here.
I’ve been really impressed with AMERICAN SNIPER so far and I thought there was lots to like about that win at Taunton last month. He is in the right hands to keep progressing and clearly is a horse with a bright future. This is tougher again but he is going the right way and I’m surprised he isn’t clear favourite for this. Lallygag won his first two starts over hurdles and was particularly impressive last month. He was beaten last time but bumped into a nice horse in Grey Dawning so looks the obvious danger to the selection. Urban Soldier shaped well on hurdles debut when second over C&D last month and with that form franked he should be best of the rest. This will throw up plenty of future winners.

Lingfield 1.30 Autonomous Cloud (best price 11/4)
Lightly raced sort who caught the eye getting within a neck of victory on chase debut at Worcester despite showing clear signs of inexperience; do better with that experience under his belt so big shout now.
Hard to look past AUTONOMOUS CLOUD at Lingfield on Wednesday. He showed promise over hurdles without winning but looked an improved horse tackling fences for the first time at Worcester. Freshened up since he should come on for the experience and looks well placed to go one better now. Ozzie Man was a beaten favourite at Plumpton yesterday so is unlikely to line up here. That would leave Mucho Mas as the main danger. He chased home Arizona Cardinal on return at Bangor and then bumped into Bill Baxter here last time. If he runs to that sort of level again then he should give the selection something to think about at least. Kilfilum Woods is also lightly raced so could improve.
