Promising type who won at Tamworth and Muswellbrook and has held his form well in defeat the last twice; only missed a nose last month; unbeaten over this trip so should have too much for these.
With 2 wins from 5 starts and the promise of more to come SEAHAVEN can prove a cut above the opposition at Muswellbrook in the early hours of Tuesday morning. He is unbeaten over this trip and is one to keep on side especially at this level. Majestic Wings is second favourite and is just 2 from 20 now. She has placed 9 times though so should be in there pitching for a long way but vulnerable for win purposes. Vital Verse won at Coonabarabran but then was held in third at Gilgandra. Danza In The Dark is a decent yardstick but he needs more in this race. Might run better than his odds are suggesting though and could even end up as the main danger to the favourite.

Race 2 Muswellbrook 3.25 Play My Song (best price 6/4)
Improving filly who deserved to get her head back in front at Tuncurry last month, battling on well to ultimately win convincingly; 2 from 3 over this trip now and only looks to have one horse to beat in here.
This is a straight shootout at the top of the market between Unwritten and PLAY MY SONG and I’m keen to side with the latter. She won well last time and is 2 from 3 over this trip now. She is still improving after just 8 starts and should have too much for this field. Unwritten won at Nowra last time and looks the danger if building on that. He is a little more exposed though and might struggle to contain the selection at the business end. I’m Not Slew likely has more to come but blew out at Randwick and has a point to prove following that. Her second at Rosehill was hugely promising though so if managing to reproduce that would have a squeak. Nothing much else appeals at bigger odds.
