Good looking sort who really lengthened nicely up the straight to win with a bit in hand at Lingfield 4 days ago, making all; longer trip looks ideal so with more to come should be able to follow up here.
Billy Loughnane went forward with HAALAND at Lingfield last time and this flashy chestnut was not for catching. He seemed to enjoy himself dictating off the front and went through the gears in good style to hit the line two lengths clear. He is turned out quickly under a penalty and with the extra couple of furlongs sure to suit he looks to have found a good opportunity to follow up. Lope De Vega filly Aesthetic was well backed last time but could only manage fourth behind the selection and has her work cutout to close that gap let alone reverse the form. Gilded Moon remains a maiden but didn’t shape badly when third at Wolverhampton last month so also deserves a mention going up in trip.

Ludlow 3.00 Ree Okka (best price 6/4)
Did well over hurdles winning twice at Chepstow and Kempton; promising start over fences when second at Aintree but could never land a blow at Exeter; better expected off an unchanged mark.
The lightly raced REE OKKA was backed heavily at Exeter but ran a strange race held up and didn’t jump well enough to land a blow. That was a good race though and the winner Shakem Up’arry ran well in a fiercely competitive contest at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day. Harry Fry’s 7yo will find this easier and off an unchanged mark should be able to resume his progress now. Tide Times likes it here and built on his reappearance run to finish second over C&D when last seen. Off the same mark he will be the danger if building on that again. Little River Bay has a fair bit of ability but can be hit and miss as she showed when pulling up at Market Rasen. Didero Vallis also has enough to prove.
