Improved with every run over hurdles and travelled best before going clear impressively to open his account at Plumpton on handicap debut; 7lb penalty but with the promise of more to come should follow up here.
Harry Cobden is riding out his skin at the moment and he has even admitted himself that he only takes spare rides when he is confident they will take the beating so fingers crossed EL MUCHACHO can follow up for Milton Harris at Catterick on Thursday. This Walk In The Park gelding was an impressive winner at Plumpton 10 days ago and with further progress on the cards now even carrying a penalty he is comfortably the one to beat. Moonlight Spirit won four times on the Flat including Group 3 success in France and impressed winning on hurdles debut at Carlisle. He was pulled up though back from a lengthy absence at Haydock and has a bit to prove but might still be the main danger.

Newcastle 1.15 Calcutta Dream (best price 6/4)
Relished the drop in grade to get himself back in the winners enclosure at Chelmsford 9 days ago, running on strongly despite getting caught wide; won over C&D last year so big chance off a 5lb higher mark.
A fair bit went wrong for CALCUTTA DREAM at Chelmsford last time but he pricked his ears swinging for home and ran on well to win convincingly at the line. He is up 5lb but he has been seen to good effect over C&D in the past and looks to have found a good opportunity to follow up here under Joanna Mason. Twilight Son gelding Mister Falsetto hit the front going strongly over C&D last month before finishing fourth. He gets to run off the same mark here and if he can delay his effort then he could be the biggest threat to the favourite. Mr Coco Bean is on a lengthy losing run but did at least run well when runner-up over 7f here 8 days ago. Back up in trip he has place claims once more.
