NAP – My best tip of the day
Huntingdon 3.00 Perseus Way (best price 6/4)
Won twice on the Flat and made an encouraging start when runner-up on hurdles debut at Cheltenham; won head in chest as expected at Leicester and improved in defeat when third at Chepstow; should win this.
Gary and Jamie Moore won this last year with the well backed Kotmask and they look to have another great chance of coming away with the prize with the promising PERSEUS WAY. He was last seen finishing a close third in a Grade 1 at Chepstow and on what is just his fourth start over hurdles here he should improve again and be tough to beat. He can be quite keen so hopefully Start In Front goes forward. If he gets a nice toe in off that horse then I don’t see anything good enough to live with him late on. Despite a blunder over the last Samuel Spade looked a natural over hurdles winning on debut at Kempton and if he improves again he could be the one to give the selection most to think about.

Newcastle 5.15 Excel Power (best price 7/4)
Steadily progressive winning 2 of his last 4 and another big run in defeat when only narrowly denied into third (subsequently promoted to second) at Wolverhampton last month; obvious chance again.
I have no doubt EXCEL POWER will be hitting the line hard here under Luke Morris. He was a convincing winner at Chelmsford on penultimate start and lost little in defeat at Wolverhampton last time. He is clearly thriving right now and the lack of pace on here might catch out his main market rival Fox Tal who can be keen and hasn’t looked the most straightforward at times. Intuitive certainly shouldn’t be ruled out despite finishing 3 lengths behind the selection at Chelmsford last month. He was only fourth of five at Wolverhampton last time too but wasn’t beaten far. Chichester needs a strong gallop to be seen to best effect and I don’t see any real clear leader here so it might turn tactical.
