NAP – My best tip of the day
Wolverhampton 3.50 Politics (best price 11/8)
Progressive form for his new yard winning 2 of his last 3; soon found himself clear at Lingfield last week; turned out quickly under a penalty but trainer does particularly well with this type of horse so keep on side.
Hard to look past POLITICS as he bids to make it 2-2 over 7f and 3 wins from his last 4 starts. He carries a penalty but if in the same form looks well placed to follow up under a red-hot Danny Muscutt. The Nail Gunner won over 6f here back in September and was back to form going down just a length over C&D last time so looks to be the biggest danger in here. Momaer is unexposed and got her head in front at Lingfield last time. This will be tougher handicapping though and she is going to need to improve a fair bit to win this. Amanda Hug’n’kiss does like this track but she has been readily held the last twice and is going to need to dig deep just to get competitive here as it looks tough enough.

Southwell 4.37 Bascinet (best price 9/4)
Good looking sort who finally got his head in front prevailing by a nose at Chelmsford on penultimate start; stayed on well to follow up with a bit up his sleeve last week; hat-trick beckons despite dropping back in trip.
Now the penny has dropped BASCINET should prove hard to beat at Southwell on Wednesday as he bids to land a hat-trick of wins. He was a ready winner again at Chelmsford last time and cutting back to a mile and a half here he should be able to go in again. Imogen Levick claims a handy 7lb and under likely positive tactics again she will hopefully have him well positioned and always be in the box seat to strike. Midnight Train wasn’t disgraced when fifth at Wolverhampton last month and that form should see him competitive in this. Master Grey was beaten less than a length at Kempton last time and is another one to note dropping back in trip. Luna Magic best of the rest but needs more.
