NAP – My best tip of the day
Southwell 2.20 Villalobos (best price 3/1)
Won twice this season already and impressed with how he did it at Chelmsford last month, albeit by just a neck at the line; ran on well at Lingfield last time going down just a head; remains unexposed up in trip again.
With this extra furlong likely ideal this looks a great opportunity for VILLALOBOS to record his third win of the season. He is still just a 4yo so is open to further improvement and if he does step forward again he should make it 2 wins from his last 3 starts. There isn’t any obvious pace on so it would be no surprise to see him push forward and try and make all the running. Hammy End is a decent yardstick who won over a mile and a half here back in November. He was poor at Wolverhampton last time but back at this track should run well and might be the danger. George Ridsdale got within half a length of victory 3 starts back at Lingfield but has failed to back that up and needs more here.

Dundalk 4.30 Dutch Glory (best price 4/1)
Unexposed filly who took a big step forward to get up late over 7f here last time and with the extra furlong a catalyst for further improvement she should be able to defy a 4lb rise; definitely looks worth chancing here.
There was lots to like about the way DUTCH GLORY ran down the opposition over 7f here earlier this month. She is unexposed and stepping up to a mile I fully expect her to follow up. A 4lb rise shouldn’t be enough to stop her and she should be able to stay ahead of the handicapper for now. Jered Maddox was behind the selection when third last time but did get caught wide so looks the danger from a better draw. Reverberation was second to a well handicapped rival in Cheers Again over C&D last time and if running to that sort of level won’t be far away again. He is quite a tricky ride though and needs delivering right which is enough to put me off. Indiana Grey is another to note but she lacks consistency.
