NAP – My best tip of the day
Down Royal 2.25 Limerick Lace (best price 10/11)
Promising mare who caught the eye on chase debut behind Hollow Games and then improved to finish second to another nice horse in Drumbear at Limerick; hard to get away from here with more to come.
Not the biggest price about my NAP on Tuesday but there are only two meetings to choose from with the abandonments so hopefully LIMERICK LACE can land us a winner. She ran well when second to Drumbear at Limerick and if improving again should go one better here. She is a strong travelled who will likely be ridden quietly and hopefully she can pick them up without it turning into too much of a fight. With Alko Rouge setting the pace perhaps Irish Blaze will be the biggest danger but he does have enough ground to make up on that run at Limerick last month. Chameron is lightly raced for his age and ran well when third at Thurles last time but this is still a tough enough ask back down in trip.

Southwell 8.30 Run Teddy Run (best price 11/8)
Progressive form in recent starts making the breakthrough impressively over C&D winning with plenty in hand; made it 2-2 over track and trip last week, staying on well; hat-trick beckons despite a penalty.
I think as long as RUN TEDDY RUN handles another quick turnaround then this son of Mayson should be capable of landing a C&D hat-trick at Southwell. He clearly relishes this surface and he ran on strongly again last time to win with something up his sleeve. Eagle Eyed Freddie is one of the pace angles and he has won over C&D before so might be the danger, or the one to run down. He couldn’t find any extra at Chelmsford last time though so will likely need more to win this. Back From Dubai was busy last year winning 6 times but failed to fire finishing second from last here last time and has plenty to prove off the back of that. Daafy is a four-time C&D winner but needs help from the assessor.
