MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT RANDWICK ON SATURDAY MORNING!

Race 8 Randwick 5.40 Aft Cabin (best price 11/10)

Exciting colt who improved from his debut to win at Sandown; runner-up at Caulfield next start but impressive at that venue on final outing; not seen since but open to significant improvement and one to keep firmly on side.

Hard to look past the seriously promising AFT CABIN at Randwick on Saturday. This colt was favourite for the Caulfield Guineas at one point and his recent trial gives plenty of encouragement. He will be targeted at some big pots down the line so hopefully resumes his progress by winning this. Zou Tiger is the biggest threat having won at this track back in the summer and finished an encouraging third at Rosehill when last seen. He has only had 5 starts so should have more to offer as he gains experience. Osipenko is also one to look out for having run well on 3 of his 4 starts last campaign. The rest all look up against it as this is a really good race and the fav should take all the beating if on song.

Race 4 Sandown 3.20 Benedetta (best price 6/4)

Progressive filly who has won both starts since her debut and was particularly convincing over C&D when last seen; obviously remains open to further improvement and should bring up the hat-trick if all goes to plan.

This looks a straight shootout between the top pair in the betting and I’m keen to side with BENEDETTA who really should be coming out on top. She won with something in hand last time and is only going to improve further. Belmia is second favourite and is definitely the danger. She ran well in a good race at Caulfield impressing with how she hit the line. With more to come this campaign she will threaten but should improve for the run. Field Of Praise has won 2 from 4 and is a nice filly in the making but just bumping into a couple here. Colorado Cruz would also have claims in a normal race but likely up against it with the top pair set to dominate this from the off.
