NAP – My best tip of the day
Sandown 2.20 Gerri Colombe (best price 5/4)
Exciting chaser who is yet to taste defeat impressively making it 2-2 in this sphere at Limerick last time; can still improve plenty and if he handles this faster ground he should be extremely hard to beat again.
I think as long as GERRI COLOMBE handles the ground then he will win this. It is surely a tip in itself that Gordon Elliott has opted to send him here rather than go to the Dublin Racing Festival and he should keep his unbeaten record intact bar any mistakes. He is an exciting young chaser who has won both starts over fences really impressing at Limerick last time. He has more to come and should put these to the sword. Thunder Rock is still a horse I have on my radar despite defeat last time. He never really travelled that day and made too many mistakes but it wouldn’t surprise me if he managed to reverse form with Monmiral at a track that should suit if he rediscovers his rhythm.

Leopardstown 2.30 Appreciate It (best price 7/4)
Classy sort who won his first four starts over hurdles including routing the opposition in the Supreme; had a few setbacks since but firmly back on track making it 2-2 over fences latest; looks the one to beat.
This is usually the race Willie Mullins uses for his main contender for the Arkle. The winner of this race will likely be Jonbon’s biggest rival on the day. APPRECIATE IT in my opinion is the Mullins first string in the Arkle after two easy wins to start his chase campaign. He was a top class winner of the Supreme two years ago before having plenty of setbacks. He still ran a cracker in the Champion Hurdle with no prep run. He for me is the best horse in here and will take all the beating with Townend jocked up. Stablemate Dysart Dynamo has always been held in high regard but hasn’t done it at the top level yet and can’t fully be trusted despite a good start over fences.
