NAP – Best tip overnight
Race 7 Mackay 6.50 Yulong Sovereign (best price 11/10)
Promising type who already has 6 wins to his name and while he needs to bounce back to win this these are much calmer waters; class act in here and should have too much for them.
That was a good race that YULONG SOVEREIGN ran in at Rockhampton and while he finished third in the end he was only beaten narrowly having tried to make all and back in an easier race here should take a lot of beating. He has 3 wins from 5 starts at this track and has already won 4 times over the trip so ticks a lot of boxes. Agustawynd is a nice mare and she impressed winning here on penultimate start. She was held last time though and has been given time. She is the danger but I still think the favourite will have her covered at the business end. Kahaylaan ran well when second at Rockhampton and might briefly threaten but the top 2 look a cut above in my book.

Race 6 Hawkesbury 5.15 Oxford Vision (best price 2/1)
Likeable type who deserved to get his head back in front at Gosford last time after a string of consistent runs; still lightly raced and could have more to come so big chance here.
I get the impression there is more to come from OXFORD VISION and off the back of that Gosford win he could prove tough to beat here. He will push forward and might always be holding these off. The danger is probably Dame Cartland who looked good winning at Kembla Grange before blowing out at Canterbury. She needs to bounce back but is unexposed so should run well. Viennoiserie is quite hard to assess but will need to better that fourth at Newcastle last time to get involved here. Lightly raced so should be able to but best watched right now. Flower Press has won 3 times from 14 starts and is a decent yardstick so won’t be far away.
