Promising young chaser who looked to need the run behind Galopin Des Champs on return at Punchestown and then looked set to win before coming down at Thurles last month; granted a clear round compensation awaits.
Despite taking a tumble at Thurles last time HAUT EN COULEURS is very much of strong interest at Gowran on Saturday. He is around 8/1 for the Ryanair next month which could prove a decent bet if he wins this well. Shishkin and Fakir D’oudairies are locking horns in the Betfair Ascot Chase so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. He would have beaten the latter but for falling last time and is a confident selection to bounce back here. Janidil is tough and likeable and looks the biggest danger especially given he can go well fresh. Darasso suffered a heavy defeat at Naas last time but should run better here back over fences but likely still up against it.

Caught the eye chasing home State Man in the County at the Cheltenham Festival last year and returned with a promising win at Newbury back in November; only third at Cheltenham last time but holds Knappers Hill on that.
This looks a good opportunity for FIRST STREET to get back in the winners enclosure. He looked a horse going places winning easily at Newbury and certainly wasn’t disgraced when only third behind Marie’s Rock in the Relkeel last month. He remains a very decent horse and should confirm that form with Knappers Hill and win this. The latter looks the danger as he had won 4 in a row prior to that defeat last time and is probably better than what he showed that day. I Like To Move It won the Greatwood but was disappointing behind the top 2 in the betting here when only sixth at Cheltenham last month so that leaves him a bit vulnerable. Global Citizen also up against it.
