NAP – My best tip of the day
Ffos Las 2.45 Maid Of The Night (best price 7/4)
Promising mare who justified strong market support to make a winning handicap debut at Hereford last month; up 6lb but step up in trip likely to bring about further improvement and well fancied to follow up.
The money came for MAID OF THE NIGHT on her handicap debut at Hereford and she certainly didn’t disappoint getting on top in good style at the finish. This step up in trip is only going to bring about further progress and she looks to have a great chance to go and follow up despite the 6lb rise. Hungry Hill showed promise in a bumper at Southwell and has shaped as though he needs a step up in trip in 3 starts over hurdles. If improving he could be the biggest danger. Bucks Dream ran well when third to Mr Harp here on second start but let backers down last time so needs the step back up in trip to see him bounce back. I think on the balance probably has enough to prove. Hard to see much else landing a blow as plenty of runners but not a great deal of strength in depth.

Huntingdon 4.10 The Wise Traveller (best price 2/1)
Likeable type who ran on well to win convincingly over C&D last month, making it 2 wins from his last 4 starts; up 6lb but won that like a horse worth keeping on side and looks well placed to go in again.
Hard to oppose THE WISE TRAVELLER off the back of that C&D win last month. He is a horse going the right way and a 6lb rise is unlikely to halt his momentum. Let’s Go Amigo looks the danger despite carrying top weight as this trip should see him improve and I thought he shaped well in defeat when fourth at Taunton. He also has first-time cheekpieces which could perk him up so definitely noted. The Skiffle King won at Southwell last time but the cheekpieces aren’t certain to work as effectively second time around and he has lacked consistency in the past. Robbie Dazzler has knocked on the door the last twice but was behind the selection at Fontwell so on that run alone has plenty of ground to make up just to get competitive let alone reverse that form.
