AUSTRALIAN NOTEBOOK BANKED OVERNIGHT! More racing Down Under on Friday from Ipswich, Kembla Grange, Kilmore, Muswellbrook and Pakenham. Overnight Double pays 9/1!
NAP – Best tip overnight
Race 4 Muswellbrook 4.25 Musical Affair (best price 7/4)
Likeable filly who deserved to get her head in front at Orange last month and did so impressively; now the penny has dropped should kick on and looks to have found the right race to do so.
Great chance for MUSICAL AFFAIR to follow up. She had been knocking on the door a while before winning comfortably last time. This doesn’t look a great race on paper with several of these rivals struggling for form so I think she can go in again. Smart Shot looked promising initially but has struggled since and looks up against it on that last run. Behind The Storm could be a bigger danger as she was a good third at Bathurst last month and likely has a bit more to offer yet. Love Rules has been disappointing since winning at Wyong and looks to have enough on her plate. Wonfontein is more exposed than most but might have a squeak given how poor this is so could potentially hit the frame with a bit of luck. The rest are double figures prices and are hard to fancy.

Race 10 Ipswich 7.19 Diana’s Affair (best price 9/4)
Good looking chestnut who was back to his best winning over track and trip last month; can keep progressing as he gains experience and ultimately expected to have too much for this field.
I’m confident DIANA’S AFFAIR can make it 3 wins from 7 starts here. He was a convincing winner over C&D last time despite the small margin and with further improvement to come should go in again. Silver Canvas is more exposed but did win at Lismore on penultimate start. He ran too bad to be true last time so needs to bounce back but if he does he could be the danger. Hyde has gone off the boil since winning at Gold Coast but if rediscovering some form could have a say. Hard to warm to at the moment though. Bulsara likes this track having won here twice and could surprise a few at bigger odds and perhaps run into the frame. He isn’t pulling down any trees but is at least consistent and could go better than his price suggests. Rising Fire best of the rest but enough to prove right now.
