MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 3 AT MOONEE VALLEY ON FRIDAY!

Race 3 Moonee Valley 8.15 Brave Mead (best price 6/5)

Improving colt who shaped with promise when third on debut and then stepped forward to make the breakthrough impressively last time; more to come for sure and can go in again.

There could be some nice types lining up for this but perhaps none more so than BRAVE MEAD who really impressed winning last time and he obviously remains open to further improvement on what is just his third start. They will go a good gallop and he should get a nice gallop to run down. Coast Princess has a similar profile having finished third on debut at Sale and then improved to win at Pakenham. She also has a bright future and looks the biggest danger to the favourite. Shoresy makes his debut and he was dominant in a trial so should be primed for this. Ana Jaahza also won on debut but this is much tougher and she’ll need to improve to have a squeak.

Race 5 Albury 4.40 Wondereach (best price 6/4)

Promising type who made a bright start winning on debut at Newcastle, showing a good attitude to prevail; not seen since but scope to improve plenty and this a good starting point.

Another good race and I fancy WONDEREACH to remain unbeaten. He really impressed bossing the opposition on debut at Newcastle and looks well placed to make it a perfect 2-2 here. Vinolass would have loomed as a big danger but she has been taken out now and doesn’t run. Mr Metrics has won 2 from 6 and did look quite useful initially but has gone off the boil somewhat in recent starts. Imasuperstar isn’t a bad yardstick and he could show up well but he has a bit to prove after blowing out somewhat at Pakenham last time which would have to be a bit of a worry. Teetotal will also bounce back at some point but enough to prove for now.
