MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT QUEANBEYAN ON MONDAY!
Race 2 Queanbeyan 4.00 Hurricane Coni (best price 11/10)
Lightly raced sort who caught the eye going close on debut at Gundagai and then likely improved in defeat again when third at Wagga when last seen back in November; more to come for sure.
This looks a great opportunity for HURRICANE CONI to open his account. He went close on debut albeit in a winnable race and then improved in tougher company at Wagga last time. With more to come he looks well placed to get his head in front now. He will be given a stalking ride and if they go a gallop that will only help him to finish. The danger is obviously Inveterate who shaped well on debut at Narrandera but improved to finish third at Wagga last time. If he improves he should make a race of it. Atomic Warrior hasn’t shown much so far but he is a good looking sort who should come good at some stage.

Race 3 Grafton 5.00 Veloce Venus (best price 11/10)
Good looking sort who caught the eye going close on debut to finish second at Port Macquarie, beaten just over a length; open to improvement and well placed to go one better now.
A big field for this but hard to get away from VELOCE VENUS who couldn’t have done much more without winning on debut. He will improve and that form looks solid so he looks the way to go in this. He will bounce out and might even go forward and try and make all. Dominique is 0/4 but she looks like she is ready to improve again now. Introvert is 0/9 but has shaped quite well the last twice. The Redman was a good third at Coffs Harbour and if building on that is another one that could get competitive. King Tereus is 0/5 now but should also improve at some point but this looks tough enough and he might need more time.
