Monday’s Australian Horse Racing Tips
LET’S HOPE FOR A WINNING START TO THE WEEK DOWN UNDER! Racing in Australia from Grafton, Yarra Valley, Longreach and Narrogin. Overnight Double pays 11/2!
NAP – Best tip overnight
Race 8 Yarra Valley 8.00 Dio (best price 11/8)
Won 2 of his last 3 and now the penny has dropped can go on with it; open to further improvement and looks to have found another winnable race to get his head in front.
Really good chance of DIO making it 3 wins from his last 4. He was always doing enough at Kilmore last time and a similar run here would likely be good enough as this lacks strength in depth. Trust In Rosie has just the 1 win from 5 but is at least unexposed. She’ll need to leave them last two runs behind to have a chance. Quality Diamond has plenty of experience to draw on and if getting back to form may end up being the danger. Gun Show was a good second at Sandown and could still do better so is another one to note but this is tougher. Titans is likeable too and ran well at Bendigo but again will likely need more in this contest.

Race 1 Longreach 4.50 Tycoon Baby (best price 7/4)
Good looking chestnut mare who ran well when third at Mackay last month; obviously chance of getting in the winners enclosure here if finding further improvement.
The way TYCOON BABY ran on at Mackay on debut suggests she is up to taking this out. She runs soon enough but that should be seen as a positive and she is the most likely winner. Super Mist shaped well on debut but then blew out somewhat at Ipswich and will need to bounce back to emerge as the main danger. I’m Free is more exposed now 0/8 and has had a few chances but did run quite well at this track last time. Benter is less exposed but again needs to better what we’ve seen from him to land a blow in a race like this as it definitely has more strength in depth than that last race he ran in. The rest are double figures and up against it for sure.
