Race 2 Sandown 4.35 Sing For Peace (best price 11/10)

Progressive sort who has won 3 from 6 so far and impressed winning at Pakenham on penultimate start before finishing a creditable third at Bendigo last time; more to come and looks well placed here.

Big chance for SING FOR PEACE to make it 4 from 7 so no surprise to see him top the betting. He impressed at Pakenham on penultimate start and wasn’t disgraced in a decent race at Bendigo. If improving again he could easily prove the answer here. Sunday Buzz has won 2 of his last 3 but this looks tougher so he’ll need to be at his very best to lower the colours of the favourite. Sous Les Nuages is more exposed but didn’t shape that badly when fourth at Bendigo last time so might still fare best of the rest. Hint Of Stars is a good looking type who might rattle the frame if bouncing back to form but this is deep enough.

Race 2 Warwick Farm 4.20 Dipsy Doodle (best price 7/4)

Promising filly who caught the eye to some extent when fourth on debut at Randwick and then improved again to finish third last time, only beaten a couple of lengths; should prove hard to beat.

Given DIPSY DOODLE has form that ties in with Barber she really should be winning this if she finds any further improvement. She is likeable and this looks a good opening for her before being targeted at bigger and better things. Left Field was an encouraging fourth on debut at Randwick and if she improves she is probably the one to give the selection most to think about. Mathkhoora was last on debut and might need more time to come into her own. I’ll still be interested to see how she runs though. Of the rest Zoukerette has a recent trial win to give her supporters encouragement but she might also need more experience to come good.
