MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 7 AT ROCKHAMPTON ON THURSDAY!
Race 7 Rockhampton 7.45 Divide The Sea (best price 7/4)
Promising type who seemed to take his form up a level completing the hat-trick at this track when last seen back in November last year; won fresh before and with further improvement to come should have these covered.
This looks a great opportunity for DIVIDE THE SEA to return with a win and make it four in a row. He was improving all the time when last seen and still looks capable of better. Patrolling has a similar profile having won 5 times but he was a bit flat on final start at Mackay and will need to rediscover his best form to lay down a challenge to the selection. Poet’s Girl is more exposed but has won 4 times and is another one that could run well and she does have fitness on side having shaped okay last month. Whoshotthemagician ran with encouragement when fourth on return last month and is another one likely fighting it out for a place in behind.

Race 7 Kilmore 7.30 Unusual Pearl (best price 7/4)
Improving filly who made the breakthrough in gutsy fashion over shorter here last month; extra yardage looks ideal now and with more to come she looks well placed to follow up so definitely worth keeping safe for now.
Hard to look past the improving UNUSUAL PEARL as she steps up in trip. She is only going to get better as her stamina is drawn out and it is no surprise to see her a warm order for this as it might not take a great deal of winning. The second favourite Aquila Volare has only won 2 from 12 and was nearer last than first at Moonee Valley last month so plenty to prove off the back of that. Yulara is more exposed but at least won twice at this track before struggling in better company at Cranbourne. If he bounces back he could be the one to ask the favourite a few questions. Modernissimo is capable but failed to back up that win last time and might be vulnerable once more.
