MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 8 AT SANDOWN ON WEDNESDAY!
Race 8 Sandown 8.05 Globe (best price 6/5)
Improving fast judging by the way he has won both starts to date, again justifying strong support to win with plenty up his sleeve at Pakenham last month; more to come up in trip again and one to keep on side.
I have liked what I’ve seen from GLOBE so far and I think he can complete the hat-trick here. He is progressive and should keep improving as his stamina is drawn out. The danger is probably Simeon who looked good winning at this track last month and had excuses last time. If he gets back on track he should make a race of it. Captain Pluto hasn’t shaped badly the last twice and is another one to consider but only if improving again as the front pair look a little way in front at the moment. Cadazio has run in some tough race but this doesn’t exactly look any easier so he’ll need to find much more to get competitive.

Race 4 Ascot 8.35 Budgerigar (best price 6/4)
Likeable type who improved to get his head in front at Albany back in January; excuses on penultimate start and back to form when a good second at Pinjarra last time; more to come and well placed here.
I’m confident BUDGERIGAR has the gears to take this one out. He is always going to need an element of luck given his run style but if he gets the gaps then he should be hitting the line best. He made the breakthrough at Albany and then was back to form when second last time. He can keep improving and looks the most likely winner in this field. Exceltrain won on debut and was then fourth at Ascot. If he improves he should be the danger as unexposed. Lady Cabernet scored on debut but finds herself in stronger company here and will need to improve a fair bit to come out on top. Kelvinater is more exposed and looks to be up against it.
