Race 3 Hawkesbury 3.35 Shadows Of Love (best price 6/4)

Improving filly who has won 2 of her last 3 and only denied by the stewards in hat-trick bid last time; open to further improvement after just a handful of starts and very much the one to beat once more.

Great chance for SHADOWS OF LOVE to resume her progress here. She is getting better all the time and is arguably unlucky not to be coming here seeking a four-timer. She has only had a handful of starts and could still be a very nice filly in the making. Moonlight Grace finally put it altogether to make the breakthrough at Warwick Farm last time and looks the danger now the penny has dropped. Miss Kojiki is more exposed but has won 6 times so also enters calculations if bringing her best form.

Progressive sort who has won both starts since going Down Under impressing at Pakenham and then following up cosily at Sandown; should keep improving and definitely one to keep safe for now.

Previously trained by David Simcock MAKTOOB has made no mistake since heading Down Under and he is eyeing up a hat-trick now after winning at Pakenham and Sandown. This trip seemed to suit him well last time and he clearly has more to come yet. Maracana is 2 from 8 overall but blew out at Pakenham on penultimate start. She did bounce back when fourth at Sandown and might be the danger if improving again but a few questions to answer for now. Summerbeel is another one who might get competitive too.
