AUSTRALIAN NAP BANKED OVERNIGHT! More racing Down Under on Thursday from Wyong, Mackay, Seymour, Narrogin and Pakenham. Overnight Double pays 7/2!
NAP – Best tip overnight
MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 5 AT MACKAY!
Race 5 Mackay 6.15 Knight’s Sword (best price 11/10)
Progressive form in recent starts winning 4 of his last 5 starts; won with a bit to spare last time and remains open to further progress so very much the one to beat once more.
Hard to look past KNIGHT’S SWORD in his current form. He will be fitter again and was nicely on top at Rockhampton last time. Even a repeat of that could see him come away with the prize. Bold Pedro was in good form before finishing fifth at Doomben and then could only manage the same position at Rockhampton last time so needs more. Mischief Managed might be a greater danger but she also needs to get back to her best to seriously threaten as she went off the boil at Townsville last time.

Race 7 Wyong 7.10 Shipshape (best price 6/4)
Likeable type who is getting better with each race and ran on strongly to get up by a nose at Hawkesbury last time; more to come now the penny has dropped so big shout.
A big field for this but SHIPSHAPE impressed last time and if getting the gaps again he should be finishing best. He has only had 4 starts so will improve and no surprise to see him the market leader. Two Up is much more exposed but his best form makes him a serious player. He was a good fourth at Newcastle and if repeating that might get involved. Takara Star is on a hat-trick but this is definitely tougher so she’ll need more. The Halo bounced back to form at Kembla Grange last time but will need more again.
