Likeable type who deserved to get his head in front at Newcastle at the start of the month, firmly in command at the line; remains open to further improvement and no surprise to see him follow up.
This looks a good opportunity for STARS AND BARS to follow up. He impressed last time and is starting to look progressive now after just 7 starts. He will likely race prominently and if building on that should be coming home best. Moorestown has only had 4 starts and did impress on penultimate start. He let backers down last time though so has a bit to prove following that despite it still being early days. Septime also deserves a mention but is another one that arrives with a bit to prove after running below par last time.

Promising sort who improved to go close at Ballarat and then improved again to make the breakthrough at Cranbourne; can put a line through that final run at Moonee Valley; big chance on return.
With more to come as a 3yo MCTAGGART is strongly fancied to make it 2 wins from 5 starts. He is getting better with experience and should prove a cut above this field. Hydro Star has won 3 from 22 but looks the danger after shaping well in defeat when third at Cranbourne last time. Catalina Black Cat won at Seymour on penultimate start last month but then struggled at Cranbourne last time and that leaves him vulnerable in this. Our Free Spirit in form but this is a bit tougher than last time so also needs more.
