Promising type who caught the eye when third on debut only going down a length and a half; improved to misadjust a head at Pakenham last time; won’t need to improve much more to win this.
Great chance for UPWOODS to make the breakthrough here. He is a promising type who should keep improving as his stamina is drawn out. He has scope and looks to have the most potential in this field. Lavish Thinker is the obvious danger according to the betting. He was only midfield last time but is likely better than that and should ask a few questions of the favourite. Hollandia was midfield on debut but should take a step forward now and looks comfortably best of the rest in a race lacking strength in depth.

Race 3 Canterbury 5.00 Bunker Hut (best price 11/10)
Likeable sort who looked good winning at Kembla Grange last year; not won since but went close on penultimate start and had excuses last time; still early days and can resume his progress.
Pitched into Group 3 company at Sunshine Coast last time BUNKER HUT should find this a great deal easier. He was only actually beaten 3 lengths in the Gold Coast Guineas and that looks strong form with Yellow Brick the winner. McDonald keeps the faith and he looks well placed to get back on track. Bat Out Of Hell is building a nice profile and he looks the danger as the betting is suggesting. Dakarai remains a maiden and looks up against it even if managing to take a big step forward as this is a good race.
