Race 9 Swan Hill 7.30 The Deputy (best price 7/4)

Good looking chestnut who won despite inexperience on debut at Sandown on sole start last year; given plenty of time since and sure to have improved so obvious chance of making it a perfect 2-2 here.

This looks a great chance for THE DEPUTY to remain unbeaten. He might have only won by a nose on debut but he impressed and returning over the same trip looks well placed to make it 2-2 in this. Pythagoras is more exposed but looks the obvious danger with 5 wins from 26 overall. He ran well when third at Sandown last time and has fitness on side so is definitely respected. Air Defence has the form to get involved as well but he struggled at Sandown last time so looks up against it off the back of that.

Race 7 Hobart 6.00 Ole Ola (best price 7/4)

Likeable mare who improved again to get back to winning ways at this track last month over shorter; back up in trip and can progress again so good opportunity to follow up here and worth chancing.

Back up to a mile OLE OLA should be hard to beat at Hobart on Sunday morning. She has been progressing nicely lately and was well on top last time. The extra yardage only helps and she is definitely the one to beat. Brew Horse won last time but he is more exposed so he might need more to come out on top. Eagle Street could be a greater danger as he has some decent form albeit gone of the boil a bit recently. Blonde Suspect could rattle the frame as his recent form figures read 1213 which is pretty solid.
