MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 2 AT EAGLE FARM ON SATURDAY MORNING!

Race 2 Eagle Farm 3.18 Chinny Boom (best price 1/1)

Smart filly who has won 6 from 8 to date and while she failed to fire at Doomben last time her record fresh is particularly good so given time since could easily resume her progress here and worth chancing.

This looks a great chance for CHINNY BOOM to get herself back in the winners enclosure. She has won 6 from 8 so far and could have even more to come over this trip. She is hard to pick holes in and should be capable of justifying favouritism. Ekaterina has won 5 times already and is a decent yardstick. She is better than what she showed here last time so if bouncing back looks the main danger to the favourite. Cythera has the form to get involved but hasn’t been showing her best lately and that would be a little concerning. The rest are double-figures and likely up against it.

Race 9 Randwick 6.45 Iowna Merc (best price 6/4)

Progressive sort who has won 3 of his last 4 now and is 4 from 7 overall; prevailed by just a nose last time but showed a good attitude to get in front; fitter again and open to further improvement so big shout.

Hard to look past IOWNA MERC who just keeps winning. There was just a nose in it last time but he is likeable and can keep improving for a while yet so gets the vote. Insurrection ran well when second at Warwick Farm last time so if reproducing that sort of run will be the danger but he does only have 2 wins from 13 attempts so perhaps vulnerable from a win perspective. Narito remains unexposed but he finished last at this track last time so will need to bounce back in a big way to get involved. Omni Man won last time and is in good order so is another one to note.
