Race 4 Pakenham 5.00 Dundancer (best price 1/1)
Promising type who is improving with experience and hit the line hard last time having been given a lot to do; more in the locker yet and obvious chance of making the breakthrough now.
No surprise to see DUNDANCER top the betting for this as she caught the eye flashing home for fourth here last time having been given a lot to do. Open to further improvement now and this doesn’t look too taxing so she should be coming home best as long as she doesn’t get too far back. Eureka Storm looks to be the obvious danger as the betting is suggesting. He is 0/5 so had a few more chances but on his best from the inside stall should run a good race. Artspace is an intriguing debutant and is he is forward enough he could run well but the market should be revealing.

Race 3 Dubbo 3.55 Maryland Bridge (best price 6/5)
Likeable filly who only missed narrowly on debut and with natural improvement should take a lot of beating here; likely to win this before going on to better things in time.
This looks a good opportunity for MARYLAND BRIDGE to make the breakthrough having shown plenty of promise to finish second on debut. She only missed narrowly and will be a lot more streetwise now. Bemote has already had 6 attempts but she could still run well if improving again so not completely dismissed. Vanoureuce has run well the last twice and he is another one that could enter calculations if building on that last run. The rest all seem to have something to prove so are likely up against it if the favourite proves as good as I’m hoping.
