Newmarket (July) 1.50
In a really open race BOLSTER looks overpriced and to me is a cracking each way bet. He was making good ground in the Group 3 Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot when got knocked into then squeezed out. Before that run he was very impressive and if he is the Group horse they think he is I think a mark of 99 is more than fair.
Charlie Appleby won this last year and has the top 2 in the market with Tagabawa who is a big danger back down in trip and Local Dynasty who I don’t think is partically well handicapped based on his last run. The main dangers could well be Seendid who is on a dangerously low mark with a lot of scope for improvement and Westerton with Ryan Moore booked.
York 2.05
Despite finishing tenth in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot VAFORTINO was a bit of an eye catcher having struggled for room and met trouble when trying to pick up. He was only beaten 5 lengths and in these calmer waters could have a big say now. He was behind Northern Express but I think he can reverse that form and they may well be the 1-2 here.
Of the rest Able Kane bounced back to his best to score at Newmarket and as impressive as that was he hasn’t always backed up performances in the past. Another Investment won over C&D last time but an 11lb rise tempers enthusiasm.
Newmarket (July) 2.25
A small but select field for the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes and STAR OF MYSTERY is the filly to beat. She ran into Carla’s Way on debut who was clearly very forward. Since then she has won twice with relative ease. She is top rated already and I think she has a lot more to come.
With Soprano out the task just got a lot easier and that has been reflected in the betting. Persian Dreamer wasn’t far behind the latter at Ascot and could be the one to finish second. The other two in the field have a fair bit to find to be competitive.
York 2.40
Beaten just 2 lengths behind Shaquille and Little Big Bear in the Commonwealth Cup SWINGALONG is likely to be a warm order for this. She won the Lowther over C&D last year so goes particularly well at this track and that was a huge run last time given she was in the firing line throughout. She relished the switch back to sprinting and no surprise if she tries to make all.
This is still a good race even though it represents a drop down in grade and perhaps Royal Aclaim will be the main danger. She shaped well when third at Ayr and if improving again stepping up to 6f for the first time could threaten. Mammas Girl is interesting and should appreciate dropping down to this trip for the first time.
Newmarket (July) 3.00
Just when you think the handicapper might be catching up with KIHAVAH he wins again. He has rattled off a hat-trick of wins on the Flat and looks to be improving with every race. He was only raised 3lb for his last win so with trip and conditions to suit he has to be in the mix off 96.
Live Your Dream is a classy horse and is never far away in these handicaps that said I think he is a bit short in the market carrying top-weight here. The main danger could well be Prydwen who improved when stepping up in trip last time just losing out to the selection. He could have more to come at this trip.
Newmarket (July) 3.35
The eye is immediately drawn to Via Sistina given how she has been progressing of late and she is looking to complete a four-timer now. She will go well and is the one to beat but there is little value in her price so I am going to chance the improving COPPICE for John and Thady Gosden. This Kingman filly has won 3 from 4 now and was impressive winning the Sandringham at Royal Ascot last month. She can improve again and mix it at the top level here.
Remarquee is also by Kingman and she was back on track chasing home Tahiyra in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot so looks the danger off the back of that. Nashwa got beat again at Newcastle last time but at least will be spot on for this now.

I’ve combined these four to make a Lucky 15 on Friday. Hopefully this can make us some decent profit. Pays 950/1!
