Good looking filly who improved to open her account at Warrnambool on penultimate start and then followed up convincingly at Ballarat when last seen; open to further progress on return and should be hard to beat.
I’m surprised YELLOW SAM isn’t shorter in the betting here as she is by far and away the most likely winner of this for me. She is eyeing up a hat-trick and really impressed on final two starts last season. She is likely to have improved again and should put this field to the sword. Hezabusybee improved from his debut to win at Ballarat and if stepping forward again could be the danger. Miss Jenni Lynn won at Kilmore but then was only third at Geelong last time so needs more to take this out. Awapuni Princess knocked on the door at Moe last time but this does look a better race than that.

Race 8 Lismore 7.05 Smile Upon A Star (best price 5/2)
Well built filly who left her debut run miles behind to win at Grafton when last seen; freshened up since but should really kick on now the penny has dropped and looks one to keep firmly on side for now; big shout.
The scopey SMILE UPON A STAR should be able to make it 2 wins from 3 at Lismore on Friday. She looks a nice prospect in the. making and freshened up since that Grafton win looks the one to be on. Fulham made a winning debut at Gold Coast and with natural improvement could threaten as the main danger. Still Ready is more exposed than the pair mentioned above and looks up against it if they improve again. Quick ‘N’ Dandy should have more to offer in time but she needs more than what we saw at Sandown last time that’s for sure. The rest seem to be up against it.
