Race 3 Casterton 4.18 King’s Charisma (best price 11/10)

Likeable type who won nicely at Warrnambool on penultimate start and then wasn’t disgraced in third at that venue last time; up in trip again here could bring about further improvement so the one to beat.

Hard to knock KING’S CHARISMA on recent form and if he bounces back to the level that saw him win at Warrnambool on penultimate start he should have too much for these rivals. Frankenstar looks the obvious danger having knocked on the door at Pakenham last time. That’s Incranibull won at Pakenham last time so arrives with confident high and might run better than his odds suggest. It wouldn’t surprise me if he was the biggest danger in here. Count Zero is more exposed and will need more to spring an upset.

Race 6 Launceston 4.54 Rue De Palais (best price 6/4)

Improved to make the breakthrough at Hobart last time and with the promise of more to come looks well placed to follow up against these; worth keeping on side now the penny has dropped; big shout.

This looks a great chance for RUE DE PALAIS to follow up. He impressed winning at Hobart last time and even a repeat of that would likely see him come out on top. He can improve again and should justify favouritism. Princess Matoaka has a similar profile and made the breakthrough at Hobart too but hasn’t been seen since which was some 5 and a half months ago now. She will probably do better for the run. Rigoletto has gone off the boil but he could feature if bouncing back as it is a weak race. It is double-figure prices the rest so they look up against it.
