AUSTRALIAN NOTEBOOK BANKED OVERNIGHT! More racing Down Under on Tuesday from Gatton, Pakenham, Bathurst and Newcastle. Overnight Double pays 4/1!
Race 2 Pakenham 4.00 Masonry (best price 1/1)
Good looking chestnut who shaped with encouragement when third on debut at Geelong and then improved again to go close at this track last time; more to come now and well placed to get off the mark.
No surprise to see MASONRY a warm order for this. He is getting better with each run and finds the right race to make the breakthrough now. Zousmic was a good second here last time and looks the obvious danger. He has had more opportunities to get off the mark though so might find the favourite improve past him. Kessler shaped well initially but has disappointed the last twice and needs more to win this. Offensive Charm has some decent form and she could also get involved if things drop right. The rest seem to be up against it.

Race 3 Gatton 4.42 Beauty Boom (best price 7/4)
Useful type who has won 2 from 6 and placed 3 times too; knocked on the door again last time and with more to come should be able to get back to winning ways against these; worth chancing.
Great chance for BEAUTY BOOM to get herself back in the winners enclosure. She won impressively when fresh before and back over a shorter trip now can get back on track. Quirin was only denied a nose first time out and has run well enough to be a threat in here. Flank Speed has a good attitude and she will be dangerous especially if the rain comes. Alert State also has a squeak if you forgive her that blip at Doomben when last seen. Underhand won at this track last month but finds herself in a deeper contest now so also needs more.
