Wincanton 1.09

I have been really impressed with 5lb claimer Callum Pritchard and he looks to have landed a decent ride here in KILLER KANE for Joe Tizzard. He shaped well when third at Kempton and back down in trip sporting first-time blinkers if he builds on that I think he’ll go close against these.

Tedley has won both starts since sent chasing and impressed winning at Wetherby last time so up 6lb still looks the danger.

Wincanton 1.09

Killer Kane 11/2 each way

Main danger Tedley

Doncaster 1.20

The drop down to 6f saw things click for ZOUM ZOUM and he could easily have more to come now with conditions ideal. This is obviously tougher but I know connections think a lot of him and he may well prove up to the task.

Ten Bob Tony was only beaten half a length in France and is better than he showed at Newmarket so could be the main threat.

Doncaster 1.20

Zoum Zoum 9/2

Main danger Ten Bob Tony

Aintree 1.30

Guard The Moon will likely prove popular here eyeing up a hat-trick but a further 6lb rise will demand more and I’m keen to chance MAGICAL KING on return. He impressed winning on penultimate start and bumped into a good horse when last seen. He is up to this trip for the first time.

Guard The Moon is probably just about the danger but Harbour Lake is respected too as we know he likes this trip.

Aintree 1.30

Magical King 11/2 each way

Main danger Guard The Moon

Wincanton 1.45

I’m hoping it could be a big day for Paul Nicholls and LARCHMONT LASS catches the eye here. She came good over this C&D at the start of the year and has been fairly highly tried since. She can jump better than she did at Ayr and given time could have a fair bit more to come.

Pretending has been progressing well but another rise in the weights demands more. Mermaids Cave looms as a bigger danger.

Wincanton 1.45

Larchmont Lass 7/1 each way

Main danger Mermaids Cave

Aintree 2.05

I really like HUNTER LEGEND for this. He failed to win over hurdles but has impressed over fences and arrives on a hat-trick. He was notably strong at the line again at Bangor and handles faster ground too. He should be the one staying on best of all.

Imperial Saint was lucky to win last time but is still going the right way and can come on for that so looks the danger.

Aintree 2.05

Hunter Legend 4/1

Main danger Imperial Saint

Wincanton 2.23

This race revolves around Handstands as he could be quite exciting going chasing for the first time but he does lack experience and Nicholls knows what it takes to win this race so I’m keen to side with INSURRECTION. He ran a big race on first start in this sphere bumping into Springwell Bay who is a horse I rate. Only going to improve and should confirm form with Boombawn.

Handstands does look the danger as he brings a lot of potential to the table. Soul Icon shouldn’t be overlooked either as he goes well fresh.

Wincanton 2.23

Insurrection 11/4

Main danger Handstands but look out for Soul Icon too

Aintree 2.40

The Grand Sefton is always fiercely competitive so I doubt it’ll surprise you that I’ve taken two against the field. SURE TOUCH is eyeing up a five-timer now after winning the Summer Plate when last seen and I expect his jumping to be a big asset here. The ground is perfect and his trainer has said he has been trained for the race. Lots to like.

Of the others OUTLAW PETER is definitely worth a few quid each way too. He has had a wind op since last seen and lost little in defeat bumping into Martator who has franked that form since. King Turgeon was impressive at Chepstow and even under a penalty looks the obvious danger to both.

Aintree 2.40

Sure Touch 8/1 each way

Outlaw Peter 10/1 each way

Main danger King Turgeon

Wincanton 2.55

Hard to go against RUBAUD here. He is following exactly the same route as he did last year winning at Kempton and then coming here. He was even more impressive last month winning by 7 and a half lengths and with just 2 rivals to beat here he is fully expected to follow up.

Brentford Hope was in good form when last seen winning at Newcastle and Haydock before finishing second at Punchestown and looks the danger.

Wincanton 2.55

Rubaud 11/10

Main danger Brentford Hope

Doncaster 3.10

I’m confident TREASURE is overpriced here for Ralph Beckett. She was highly tried last season running in the Oaks and at Royal Ascot but she got outpaced on quick ground so no surprise to see her bounce back on a surface with cut in it at Newmarket last month. This will be even softer and she should run a big race.

Estrange looked exciting on debut and then ran a bit flat at Yarmouth and if bouncing back could be the danger.

Doncaster 3.10

Treasure 8/1 each way

Main danger Estrange

Wincanton 3.30

Another open looking race but I am keen to give MOFASA a chance to bounce back. He pulled up at Ayr when last seen but I wouldn’t read too much into that as he was hampered early and never really travelled. His form from last year is pretty solid behind the lines of Broadway Boy and if bouncing back down the weights he could be a danger to all.

Lord Accord impressed last time but was given a soft time in front and might face more pace pressure this time. That could leave The Changing Man as a greater threat.

Wincanton 3.30

Mofasa 5/1 each way

Main danger The Changing Man

Doncaster 3.45

Back down to a mile and a half I can see MASTER BUILDER getting back to his best here. He impressed at Haydock but then failed to match that form at York despite running well in defeat. He is open to further improvement on just his fourth start in a handicap and I think there is plenty to like.

Insanity looked good winning at Ascot and I wouldn’t judge him too harshly on that York run as he is better than that and could bounce back and be the danger.

Doncaster 3.45

Master Builder 8/1 each way

Main danger Insanity and also look out for Flash Bardot
