Ascot 1.15
The most unexposed horse in the field is BECTIVE ABBEY and I can see him taking a lot of beating. He won a point to point before being snapped up by this yard and then came forward from his hurdles debut to win at Warwick. He has more to come now handicapping and is worth keeping on side.
Dubrovnik Harry seemed to need the run at Plumpton and back over hurdles could run well and put up the most resistance.
Wincanton 1.36
With just the 3 rivals to beat it is hard to look beyond BURDETT ROAD here. He showed a good attitude to fend off Be Aware and win the Greatwood and then wasn’t disgraced behind Constitution Hill at Kempton. Freshened up he is expected to have too much for these.
Golden Ace hasn’t been beaten far twice this season and if coming forward again could threaten most.
Ascot 1.50
This looks another stepping stone for JINGKO BLUE before heading to the Cheltenham Festival. He was over 2 lengths too strong for Lowry’s Bar at Windsor last month and I fully expect him to confirm that form and make it 3-3 over fences here.
Lowry’s Bar is a very decent yardstick and looks the one most likely to give him something to think about again.
Haydock 2.05
This is quite comfortably the toughest race of the day on ITV and a tentative vote goes to the outsider of the field in THE EDGAR WALLACE for Kim Bailey. He is coming back down the weights and could have a decent chance of reversing recent form with The Flier Begley.
The Flier Begley does look the danger but Nocte Volatus is also in form and capable and should run well too.

Ascot 2.25
I thought that was an eye-catching run from JOYEUX MACHIN at Wetherby at the start of the month. He was beaten just over 3 lengths and was given too much to do. I rate the winner Mr Bramley and he hit the line strong in behind. If he builds on that he can give the Skelton team another nice Saturday pot.
Altobelli finally came good at Ascot last month and if backing that up could be the danger. Patriotik is another one to note.

Haydock 2.40
With 2 wins from his last 4 starts BEAUPORT is looking progressive. He is a strong stayer and he ran a big race in defeat when third to Crambo in the Long Walk when last seen. Freshened up since and down in grade it is no surprise to see him figuring prominently in the betting and he should go very well.
Gary Moore is in good form now and Botox Has is feared most. He ran well when third to Gowel Road and if improving will be involved.
Ascot 3.00
I have been with HASTHING the last twice and I’m not about to abandon him now. I thought he was particularly impressive at Windsor last month and despite a further 8lb rise could complete the hat-trick. He has only had 3 starts over fences and is getting better all the time.
Victtorino stayed on strongly to beat The Changing Man here when last seen but that form perhaps hasn’t worked out as well as first hoped.
Haydock 3.15
Back over fences with the yard hitting form again GIT MAKER definitely catches the eye. He clearly needed the run over hurdles at Windsor last month and now back chasing over this marathon trip it would be no surprise to see him get seriously competitive.
Val Dancer is progressing well and is on a hat-trick so could be the danger. Jubilee Express ties in with that horse and is also feared.

Ascot 3.37
Hard to look past last years winner PIC D’ORHY again. He beat L’homme Presse in this 12 months ago and that is exactly how it could play out again. He loves this track and the ground is perfect and he arrives off the back of a win having bolted up on reappearance so hard to pick holes in.
L’homme Presse needed every yard to get up at Cheltenham last month and is the danger but this drop back in trip is concerning enough.

Two strong bets running on ITV Racing on Saturday so we’ve combined them to make a nice double. Pays 5/2!
