Kelso 1.15
Trainer Lucinda Russell seems really bullish regarding the chances of CADELL in the opener and I’d tend to agree. I know he was pulled up at Musselburgh but he had excuses and this trip will suit much better. He looks a well handicapped horse.
Dare To Shout has good form here and has been knocking on the door so looks the most obvious danger to the selection.
Bangor 1.35
I can see them going quite hard here and that should play into the hands of THUNDER ROCK who is a very useful horse when things drop right. I know he has top-weight but he will find this easier than recent assignments and looks good value in the betting.
Gentleman Bill was poor last time but is still unexposed and could easily bounce back with a big run here.
Kelso 1.50
I know WYENOT has drifted slightly this morning but she looks a cut above this field and I’ll be surprised if she is beaten. She has already won twice this season and ran well in defeat pitched into a Grade 2 last time. She sets the standard and should get the job done.
Ottizzini found the selection 9 lengths too strong at Doncaster but might still be the one to finish second on 4lb better terms.
Newbury 2.05
Harry Derham is absolutely flying right now with 6 winners from his last 18 runners. NORN IRON definitely catches the eye having gone close at Newbury and then run well beaten 4 lengths in a race that has worked out well at Doncaster. This trip will suit so big chance.
Plenty of dangers but possibly headed by Glynn Brae who has won his last two and if settling better could have more to come yet.
Kelso 2.25
I can see I AM MAX going close here. He has only had 6 starts under Rules and was denied just a short head at Haydock when last seen. He is open to further improvement and this trip looks his optimum so no surprise to see him getting backed.
Nordic Tiger hasn’t been at his best and was again disappointing last time but the handicapper has given him a chance now.
Newbury 2.40
I’m expecting C&D winner SAINT SEGAL to go close. He was finally back in the winners enclosure at this track before Christmas and then bumped into The Kalooki Kid at Musselburgh. He ran well again when third here last time and should be bang there once again.
Scarface was well held in the Greatwood but I think this test will suit better and he shouldn’t be underestimated as is definitely capable.
Kelso 3.00
I’m surprised WALKADINA has drifted so much as she only went down narrowly at Ludlow and no handicapping could easily have more to come. The ground is drying out but she is versatile and she looks a great each way bet in an open race.
Surrey Belle has been subject to a gamble and does arrive on a hat-trick so could easily be the biggest threat.
Newbury 3.15
I liked the way SIOG GEAL beat Surrey Belle at Catterick earlier in the season. That form has worked out and while she has been beaten twice since she has more to come stretching out in trip and could be worth keeping on side.
Crazierthandaisy isn’t the most straightforward but she is clearly quite talented and did win last time so could threaten most.
Kelso 3.35
The way FLASH DU PISTOLET made all at Newcastle last time was impressive. He jumped notably well and put them to the sword never seeing another rival. Similar tactics are likely to be deployed here and I think he’ll follow up.
Bollingerandkrug is a 10yo now but could still be the danger. He’ll need to leave that reappearance run behind though to land a blow.
ITV Racing Double
Plenty of racing on ITV on Saturday so I have combined our two strongest bets to make a nice double. Pays 9/2!

I know you guys love a Lucky 15 especially on a Saturday so these are four horses (on ITV Racing) I can see running well which I’ve combined to try and maximise winnings. Pays 400/1!

These two stand out as being a bit overpriced today so I’ve put them together to make a nice Each Way Double. Pays 30/1!
