Newmarket 1.50
This is wide open and any of 5 or 6 could win this but a tentative vote does go to PHYSIQUE for Pam Sly. This 5yo was just given too much to do behind Dark Thirty at Doncaster on return and should be spot on now. Oisin Murphy is a positive jockey booking and he can go close.
Elmonjed has the potential to do better again and looks the obvious danger. Dark Thirty opposes again and is also feared.
Newmarket 2.25
The market weakness surrounding MASAI MOON is a bit worrying but I can still see him running well. He did pretty much everything wrong on debut and still won so is clearly a promising horse. He can improve and up in trip looks a good move so plenty to like.
Sallaal won going away on debut at Yarmouth and looks the one to give him most to think about. Green Storm is also respected.
Newmarket 3.00
The likeable OTTOMAN FLEET is going for a hat-trick in the race and I expect him to be hard to beat. He has been running creditably in much stronger company in Dubai and we know he loves this track so he should be the one they all have to beat.
Persica has a run under his belt and has the ability to threaten. Ambiente Friendly is another one who should be in the mix.
Newmarket 3.35
I’d say VERSE OF LOVE is easily my best bet on the opening day of the Craven Meeting. She ran out an impressive 5-length winner of her only start as a 2yo and looks an exciting prospect for the season ahead. There is a lot of potential on show but she has the most judging by that debut win.
Nardra also won her only start as a 2yo and did it by 8 and a half lengths at Haydock so looks the danger. Zanzoun is also noted.
ITV Racing Double
Some good racing on ITV on Tuesday so I have combined our two strongest bets to make a nice double. Pays 13/2!
